Hello from the newlyweds! Rob and I have been married for 1 month and 1 day and we are still in awe of our magical vintage wedding day. Thank you to everyone that has extended their heartfelt congratulations and prayers for our marriage. We count our blessings every single day and are so touched that people we have never met face to face care so much about our new life together and have showered us with their support.
We wanted to capture the love that surrounds our lives every day in a unique way and incorporate it into to our wedding. Our good friend Brian from BTW Photography worked through our portfolio at lightning speed and we are so excited to finally share some of our favorite moments of the wedding with you today. If you follow us on Instagram, you probably already know that Rob and I had a traditional Catholic wedding with an outdoor vintage-theme reception that was held in my parents back yard. The local weather forecast called for torrential rain, storms and hail that day; but we prayed a rosary, laid it in bush, and left it in God’s hands.
As it turned out, the weather could not have been more perfect. The overcast skies created the most stunning dramatic effect in our photos and we enjoyed the unseasonably cool June air that kept our guests dancing well into the night. As much as I enjoy writing for you, I am going to sit back and let you enjoy the following photos. They provide an excellent narrative of our day without any additional elaboration from me.
Announcing: Wedding Wednesday
As you can see, the day was truly spectacular and so much more elegant than Rob and I were anticipating. I plan to share more specific details from our vintage wedding in the coming weeks. All summer long, Rob and I will be featuring a different element of the wedding on the blog in a new blog segment we are calling “Wedding Wednesday.” We plan to highlight our favorite vendors from the metro-Detroit area, share some of our favorite DIY projects from the wedding, and share some giveaways and exclusive discounts with you! Be sure to check back this Wednesday for our first feature. If you have any questions about our wedding, please ask them in the comments of this post. See you again on Wednesday!

BEAUTIFUL! Congratulations. So happy for you. It looks like what could have been a rainy day turned out to be perfect. I love all the pictures, but my absolute favorite is the one right before the first dance photos, after the cake. Also when you are leading Rob. Such sweet moments captured.
Thank you Shannon! That photo by the cake is in my top-10 list of favorite photos from the day too.
What a pleasure to see these gorgeous photos from your wedding. Loved everything about it. As a fellow Michigander I realize the stress of planning anything outdoors, so I commend you for even attempting it. May you have love and happiness in your life together.
Thanks, Kim! That photo by the cake is definitely in my top-10 list from the wedding as well.
Simply stunning!!
Stunning! Thanks for allowing us to celebrate with you. Can’t wait to find out about all those little details.

Oh my! What beautiful pictures! Gorgeous! Stunning! Perfect! Lovely! I’m out of adjectives! Thanks for sharing your special day and, again, congratulations and God’s blessings to you both!
Thank you so much, Amy! We are very blessed indeed!
Absolutely beautiful, Maria! It looks like a perfect day. Congratulations!
Thank you Catherine! It really was a perfect day!
Beautiful wedding! Love that you went to Wolcott Mill! My favorite place for pictures, especially in the fall. They look so beautiful. Looks like you had a great day, despite the weather. Besides, rain is good luck on the wedding day. :)
OMGoodness, Maria! Simply stunning! The dress, the earrings, the hair… every single, tiny detail is absolutely gorgeous! I wish you all the best for a marriage filled with love and laughter!
What a beautiful wedding! You were such a gorgeous bride. I look forward to hearing more details about your big day.
Thank you so much! We can’t wait to share more!
I loved absolutely every aspect of your gorgeous wedding. Every detail was just perfect. But seriously, the typewriter guest book?! That was just too much. I can’t even express how much I love that!
Thank you so much Kendra! The big typewriter actually belonged to Rob’s grandmother so it was a fun, sentimental way to keep the vintage theme.
Such a beautiful wedding. Thank you for sharing with us all the beautiful moments and your joy of one of the most wonderful moments of life. Deborah
