One of the most exciting parts of planning our wedding has been selecting the perfect Save the Date cards to represent Rob and I as a couple, as well as the general tone of our wedding. While I embrace many wedding traditions, I have been very mindful to keep our wedding from being an exact copy of a typical wedding. Rob and I are pretty simple people and a recurring theme of our wedding planning has been casual elegance with a vintage flair. I wanted our Save the Date cards to be unique and special, and to capture this feeling as well.
By now, this image is probably quite familiar to you. In truth, it is my absolute favorite of our engagement photos from BTW Photography. I love the simplicity and the fact that it is just so us. It’s a little rustic, but also down to earth and casual. I immediately began my search for a stationery company with beautiful templates that were simple, elegant and maybe even a little vintage. Thats’s when I discovered Minted.com.
The moment I stumbled upon Minted, I was completely enthralled and I knew it was the perfect stationery company to work with for our Save the Date cards. I adore everything about the site, especially the fact that all of the designs are generated by independent designers that collaborate to create beautiful paper goods. Minted also offers a wide range of complimentary services on all of their wedding products, such as free recipient addressing and coordinating envelope designs (also free of charge). The Minted design team also works with customers to add any personal touches and make the finished product completely unique.
Rob and I selected the “At Last” design for our own Save the Date cards and I struggled to make the white text stand out in front of the floral print of my dress. I tried different colors of font and nothing stood out from the printed florals. Thank goodness for the Minted design team! They added extra shading that was not included in the original template to provide contrast help the text pop out from the background. The result was a simply stunning.
Any time I order paper products online, I get a little nervous. As you might imagine, my attention to detail is fairly high and I wondered and worried about what the paper quality of our Save the Date cards would be. Rob and I selected the basic “signature” paper and envelopes instead of upgrading to higher quality papers. I suppose I was just nervous about the quality I would sacrifice by selecting the default paper stock instead of springing for the upgrade. I am not sure why I was so nervous, since Minted proudly explains that their signature paper is “thick and luxurious… with a creamy cotton texture,” but nervous I was! My worrying was completely unwarranted. The stock was indeed thick and luxurious and I still cannot quite believe that we purchased the most economical paper option. The envelopes also had a rich texture that I instantly loved.
Minted specializes in Wedding stationery, but the site actual offers a variety of products for your celebratory needs. Everything from cards and party decor, to fabric home decor, as well as art prints. They even offer the most beautiful custom gift wrap! Right now they are offering 15% off holiday cards with FREE recipient addressing. I have been surfing the site and I seriously adore so many of these beautiful cards.
