I’ve officially been working out, eating better, and embracing a healthier lifestyle for over six weeks. Things are going fairly well, but the daily workouts have highlighted my need to add more fitness attire to my closet. When I started working out, I bought a few items from Wantable and Trunk Club to get me started, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t re-wear my fitness clothes several times between washings. It was pretty gross, unsustainable, and I knew I needed more clothes in the mix since I’m planning to stick to my healthier lifestyle. Our budget has been tighter than usual for the past several months and I can’t afford to splurge on lots of expensive clothes (as much as I wish I could.) Fortunately, I had a few Amazon gift cards and thought this was the perfect way to spend them – especially because everything I tried on from Amazon Fashion was so budget-friendly (the average price point was only $20!) I was able to actually stock up on cute, quality activewear without busting our budget, which is a win for us!

I have a lot of fun clothes to share with you today, so I’m just going to dive right in and let you see everything I tried on. I personally love the mix of neutrals with peach and purple shades mixed in, but most of the clothes were available in a rainbow of color options, which I am sharing throughout the post as well. There truly is a color available to fit every style.
icyzone Workout Tank Tops 3-Pack
I was really hoping to add some more workout tanks to my wardrobe and was excited to try on the icyzone Workout Tank Tops for Women (Pack of 3 for $17). As far as price goes, it doesn’t get much better than this deal for workout tanks. A 3-pack of any type of shirt for $17 is a pretty amazing deal, and this set is available in so many different color combinations. I had my eye on the black/granite/teal combination, but it was back-ordered and I didn’t want to wait so I ordered the peach/purple/gray set.

As you might expect from any shirt that costs $6, these weren’t made of the softest fabric. The icyzone Workout Tank Tops weren’t exactly scratchy, but they weren’t really soft either. Regardless, I liked the length of these shirts, as well as the racerback design in the back.
I was totally satisfied with these tops, but you should know that the icyzone Workout Tank Tops had a somewhat slender cut. You need to be ok with how your stomach looks if you order these. These shirts weren’t clingy, but they didn’t hide my curves and I probably would not have been comfortable wearing them when I started working out 6 weeks ago. I’ve made significant progress since I adopted a healthier lifestyle and I’m now confident enough to wear these without hesitation, even though I still have a ways to go before I meet my fitness goals.
The icyzone Workout Tank Tops are great, but that’s an aspect that you need to be aware of if you are just beginning your fitness journey or aren’t comfortable with how your stomach looks right now. IUGA High Waist Yoga Pants with Pockets
Let’s take a minute to talk about the leggings I tried on. The IUGA High Waist Yoga Pants with Pockets ($24) were a great, basic pair of leggings for a price that can’t be beaten, and they come in SO many colors. There’s a reason these are a #1 best-seller on Amazon Fashion for sport pants (with over 38,000 reviews!). I love a good neutral and was looking for an alternative to black (since I already own about 10 different pairs of black leggings for every purpose imaginable), so dark gray was a great option for me. I love this shade of gray because it’s not too dark or too light.

As for the fit and comfort of the IUGA High Waist Yoga Pants, I have no complaints! They stayed well in place and felt smooth, soft, and comfortable. Of course, when we are talking leggings, there’s the most important detail of all: the IUGA leggings were squat-proof! They weren’t see-through and didn’t reveal anything they weren’t supposed to when I squatted to test them out.
These are full-length leggings, that I shortened a bit by hiking them slightly up around the knees and ankles. The pants had plenty of four-way stretch, so you couldn’t tell that I had pulled them up a bit, plus they stayed in place nicely. As if that wasn’t enough, the IUGA leggings also provided convenient pockets on both sides. There was nothing not to like about these pants and I was so excited to add them to my wardrobe.

RUNNING GIRL Strappy Crisscross Sports Bra
I was instantly drawn to the RUNNING GIRL Strappy Crisscross Sports Bra ($19) when I came across it on Amazon. Especially since it happened to be the #1 best-selling sports bra on Amazon Fashion.
The RUNNING GIRL Strappy Crisscross Sports Bra fit fine and provided enough support for my workouts at home. Contrary to the brand name, I wouldn’t go running in it, but the bra provided enough support for my low impact exercises. I really liked the criss-cross detail in the back and felt like they elevated the look of my outfit. I know it sounds trivial, but I really detest working out, and feeling a little stylish does a lot to help me stay motivated.
Every moderate-support sports bra I’ve tried on has cups that can be inserted and removed. The RUNNING GIRL Strappy Crisscross Sports Bra was no exception, and my only complaint was that the cups seemed to be pushed up to the very top seam of the bra. It’s nothing anyone would notice by looking at me or the bra, but it was a detail I noted while I was trying on the bra and adjusting it into place. This was a minor issue and the price was low enough that I didn’t mind a tiny little nuisance, so I kept the sports bra.

Lavento Women’s Strappy Sports Bra
The black Running Girl bra wasn’t the only sports bra that I tried on during my Amazon Fashion activewear haul. I also ordered an olive green Lavento Women’s Strappy Sports Bra ($22.) Hands down, this was my favorite of the three bras I tried on. It offered great support, was very comfortable, and I loved the strap detail in the back. This bra was very similar to the black Running Girl sports bra I had previously tried on, but it didn’t have a cutout in the back and the cups seemed to fit inside the bra better. I also preferred the simple back design without a cutout.
Just like the previous bra, the Lavento Women’s Strappy Sports Bra offered medium support, so it probably wouldn’t be great for running, but fit my needs perfectly.

RUNNING GIRL Criss-Cross Back Sports Bra
If the green sports bra was the clear winner from my Amazon Fashion activewear haul, the RUNNING GIRL Criss-Cross Back Sports Bra ($19) was the loser. Sure, it had a great price and lots of great reviews. I was so excited to try this bra on because I like the thick straps and thought they would offer great, comfortable support. I also thought the additional skinny straps were a fun detail.

As it turns out, the thick straps were the only detail of the RUNNING GIRL Criss-Cross Back Sports Bra that functioned well. Everything else was basically a disaster.
The first issue was that even though the bra fit properly, it was constructed with too much fabric in the outer layer. The excess fabric bunched and refused to lay smooth, no matter how much I tried to adjust the bra and stretch it into place. The second issue was those little straps in the back that I had thought were so stylish when I ordered the bra to try on. Both of the small straps bunched and stuck out in the back, rather than laying smooth. This bra was definitely going back to Amazon.

I was definitely scratching my head after trying on the RUNNING GIRL Criss-Cross Back Sports Bra. It had 8,000 mostly glowing reviews on Amazon, which makes me wonder If the one I received was a random dud. Fihapyli Mesh Racerback Tank Top
Remember how I promised to share a flattering loose-fitting workout top earlier in this post? The Fihapyli Mesh Racerback Tank Top ($17) is what you need if you’re still working on your fitness goals and are looking to conceal a little extra weight in your midsection.
The fabric for the Fihapyli Mesh Racerback Tank Top was very smooth, soft, and breathable. It also had a nice drape that gracefully flowed over all of my curves, without drawing much attention or looking too baggy.
The front of the Fihapyli Mesh Racerback Tank Top top was good, but a view of the back made me completely fall in love with the style. There was so much to appreciate: the mesh fabric along the top offered a fun little (modest) peek at my sports bra and the little pleat enhanced the already outstanding drape that this shirt offered.

Hanes French Terry Full-Zip Hoodie Sweatshirt
I was hoping to stock up on bras, tops, and leggings; but the thing I needed most is a warm layer to wear around the house after my workouts. I go from burning hot to freezing cold in a short amount of time and have been hunting for a warm and comfortable sweatshirt or jacket that I can wear around the house until I finally have a chance to shower. I ordered two jackets for this purpose from my Amazon Fashion activewear haul and tried on the Hanes French Terry Full-Zip Hoodie Sweatshirt first ($14). The black space dye color was a great neutral that was a little more interesting than a solid black or gray jacket and the $14 price tag couldn’t be beat. Yup, you read that correctly and no, it’s not a typo – the zip hoodie only cost $14.
The French Terry Hoodie offered a perfect, flattering fit. It covered my rear in the back and was comfortable to zip without being too tight or too baggy. Despite the great fit, I could easily figure out the qualities of the jacket that made it possible to sell for such a low price. The fabric wasn’t particularly warm, fuzzy, or soft; and it definitely didn’t offer that coziness that I was hoping to find for these cold winter days. It honestly feels a little generous to call this anything other than a “zip-hoodie”. “Jacket” and “sweatshirt” imply a certain level of warmth that just wasn’t there. I could see myself wearing this hoodie on an early summer morning before the heat of the day or perhaps around the house during the summer to help keep me warm in the chill of the air conditioning. The Hanes French Terry Full-Zip Hoodie Sweatshirt certainly wasn’t a garment that I needed right now, so I sent it back to Amazon.

Amazon Essentials Women’s 2-Pack Tech Stretch Racerback Tank Top
I also ordered a two-pack of Amazon Essentials Women’s 2-Pack Tech Stretch Racerback Tank Top ($19) to see how well they fit and felt. The set of shirts had a great price, nice drape, and were very soft to the touch. They checked all the boxes and were definite keepers for a great price.
I stuck with my go-to neutral color scheme and ordered a black and gray set. I’m partial to the gray, but the black top was cute too!

Fengbay High Waist Yoga Leggings
You probably noticed that I changed into a new pair of leggings for these photos. This time, I tried on a pair of Fengbay High Waist Yoga Leggings ($20) in a really pretty lilac color. The pants may have been $4 cheaper than the gray pair of IUGA leggings, but they were every bit as soft with the same pockets, same great fit, same length, and you couldn’t see through them when I squatted. In fact, I’m pretty sure these were the exact same pants, just with a different random brand name. These were definitely a keeper.

BALEAF Women’s Fleece Pocketed Running Jacket
The last item I tried on from my Amazon Fashion activewear haul was another jacket. This time I tried on BALEAF Women’s Fleece Pocketed Running Jacket in heather black ($34 and worth every penny!) After the Hanes jacket disappointment, I was crossing my fingers and hoping to finally add a warm layer to my post-workout closet.
I slipped into the BALEAF jacket and instantly knew that it was everything I had been hoping for.

The fleece lining was warm, soft, and incredibly cozy. The BALEAF Women’s Fleece Pocketed Running Jacket offered a tailored fit but wasn’t so tight when zipped that I felt uncomfortable. I could honestly see myself comfortably wearing it zipped or unzipped around the house. I ordered a medium, which fits true to size, but you may want to consider sizing up if you prefer a more oversized look.
I wasn’t too surprised to conclude that the BALEAF Jacket was definitely a keeper since Rob bought me a pair of BALEAF fleece-lined leggings from my wishlist for Christmas this year and they have been great to wear around the house.
