As I was planning for my wedding, Instagram quickly became my #1 source of inspiration. Yes, Pinterest is wonderful and my Happily Ever After Pinterest board has been a great place to collect and curate ideas, but Instagram is truly where it’s at. It’s a great, easy place to see the current trends. With the Pinterest algorithm, I often found myself seeing the same pins over and over again. But not on Insta…the very nature of Instagram is so different from Pinterest and all of the images in your feed have recently been posted. They don’t circle back around so they always feel fresh. I have rounded up my favorite Instagram wedding accounts to follow while I planned my own wedding.
Syle Me Pretty Weddings
My favorite Insta account to follow is definitely @smpweddings. Every single photo that Style Me Pretty shares is completely stunning and had me drooling. This was also my favorite wedding blog to click through as I was seeking inspiration, so it’s no surprise that their Instagram is also unparalleled.
Loverly
While many of the images shared on Style Me Pretty Weddings were completely out of my league, the @loverly Instagram account injected a little real-life fun into my feed. The still provide plenty of over-the-top inspiration, but they also repost real wedding photos with the hashtag #soloverly. While Style Me Pretty offers exquisite style and elegance, Loverly highlights the fun of weddings and engagements.

Hey Gorgeous Events
If you can’t get enough of the romantic fantasy wedding experience, you need to follow @heygorgevents, the Instagram account of Rhiannon Bosse. I may not know how to pronounce her name, but I do know that I adore every single photo she shares on Instagram. Rhi is the owner of Hey Gorgeous Events, a boutique wedding, event and floral artistry business based in my home state of Michigan. I’ve never met Rhi (and I’m fairly certain I could never afford her, but gosh I love what she does!)
How He Asked
There is something so magical about being engaged. I found myself so excited about wedding planning and so giddy about anybody’s love story. @HowHeAsked was filled with photos of newly-engaged couples celebrating their engagements. Rob and I don’t have any photos of his proposal (it was perfectly just the two of us), but it sure is fun to sneak a peek into the proposals of other couples.
Every Last Detail Blog
If @loverly sprinkled in a little authentic wedding fun, @everylastdetailblog makes the perfect wedding a little bit more attainable. Lauren (the founder of ELDB) shares inspirational images that feel like they could have come from your friend’s wedding. The photos are simple and elegant, but not always on a mega budget. Speaking of budgets, this Instagram account regularly highlights and shares helpful tips for wedding planning, especially ways to smartly manage your wedding budget.
100 Layer Cake
I will never tire of staring at luxe wedding photos and @100_layercake features the most exquisite weddings and details every day. From gorgeous flowers and epic desserts to the darling details. Every image shared by 100 Layer Cake is filled with charm and romance.

Wedding Wire
If seeing so many picture-perfect wedding details leaves you craving a more attainable wedding, @weddingwire is a great Instagram account to follow. They often regram images of real couples and weddings (especially #justsaidyes photos) and Wedding Wire also shares some very helpful lists and resources on Instagram. This Instagram account is more than just inspiration – it is truly a helpful resource for anyone planning a wedding.
The Mrs. Box
Ok, so this account isn’t explicitly about weddings. Instead, @the_mrs_box on Instagram is all about the sweetest and most gorgeous little velvet heirloom boxes. The photos often feature vintage rings as well. I drool over every single one of these photos. I only wear one of my rings at a time (either my engagement ring or my wedding band if I’m going for a more casual look) and I can’t help but think that the ring I’m not wearing will look particularly stunning if it is stored in one of these little boxes. My favorite is The Havenhart.
BHLDN
Vintage meets whimsical at @BHLDN. The sister-store of @Anthropologie, this Instagram account features dresses, gifts, accessories and more from their online collection. Every image served as inspiration for my vintage-inspired wedding.
Natalie Franke
I follow many wedding photographers on Instagram and @nataliefranke is one of my favorites! She’s from the Northeast and many of her photos have a distinctly nautical theme. She also injects so much of her beautiful personality into her Instagram account and she helps to empower entrepreneurers and industry creatives. You should follow this Instagram account even if you’re not getting married – the photos are an instant pick-me-up.
