Our sweet Harvey has fit right into our family (and our hearts) from the start. He loves to eat and his favorite milk-drunk activity is to snuggle up in the warmth of someone’s arms. He is such a blessing, but no-one loves Harvey more than his big sister. Dessa adores her baby brother. She loves to fetch clean diapers, helps pat his back when Harvey needs a burp, joins in the fun of tummy time, and showers Harvey with kisses all day long. The thing that really melts my heart is how much Harvey already loves her right back. He often appears to be completely mesmerized by Dessa and cannot get enough of his big sister.
Welcoming a baby into the family has certainly kept us on our toes, but every moment has been a blessing to treasure. We recently invited our friend Erika Christine to stop by and capture a few memories of our family during the crazy, sleepless time with a newborn in our midst.
Harvey is already seven weeks old and has grown so much in the past several weeks that I am in awe of how tiny he looks in these photos. We look forward to watching his relationship with Dessa continue to grow and can’t wait to share more of his story with you.
