It’s no secret that I am a big fan of Rothy’s and slip on a pair of the popular shoes made from recycled water bottles nearly every single day. With six different Rothy’s styles to choose from that range from dressy to casual, there’s a pair of Rothy’s to suit any style and coordinate with any outfit. Rothy’s are every bit as comfortable as people claim, but sometimes you just need a little bit of extra coverage inside the shoe – either to prevent friction or manage undesirable odor. I discovered Sheec no-show socks several months ago and have been wearing them with my Rothy’s ever since. Sheec offers several sock styles in a variety of cuts to ensure true no-show coverage for all types of shoes. I’m excited to walk you through the best Sheec socks to pair with every Rothy’s style to keep your feet happy while you’re out and about. I’m also thrilled to help you save 15% on your Sheec order. The socks are truly fantastic and I’d like you to meet your future favorite no-show socks.
I have loved my Rothy’s shoes from the start and have logged hundreds of miles in most of the pairs that I own. Since Rothy’s are very comfortable and machine washable, I had always worn mine without socks or any concern about shoe odor. All was well, until I started wearing my Rothy’s Sneakers on daily walks through the neighborhood with Dessa. The Sneaker has more of a snug fit than any of the other Rothy’s styles and it caused a lot of friction between my foot at the inside of my shoe while I walked. I often returned home from my daily walks with a lot of tenderness and discomfort along the tops and outer edges of my pinky toes.
Even though I could comfortably wear my Rothy’s Points, Flats, and Rothy’s Loafers without socks, I found that I desperately needed a protective layer inside of my Sneakers. I wanted a quality sock that wouldn’t show. Since I had never worn any socks with my Rothy’s, I wasn’t sure which socks to purchase, but I knew it had to be something thin to accommodate the already snug fit of the Sneaker. I posed the question in a Rothy’s Facebook group and the overwhelming response from the other members was that Sheec were the best socks for the job.
I was excited to spare myself several hours of research on the internet for the “best no-show socks to wear with Rothy’s” and quickly hopped over to the Sheec website to order a pair. It was at that moment that I discovered Sheec has an entire product line of socks and accessories in various cuts to perfectly pair with virtually any shoe in your closet. It was a great discovery, but before I could find the best Sheec sock to wear with my Rothy’s Sneakers, my toddler had a meltdown and I abandoned my search to help her. I had every intention of sitting down at my computer to find an ideal sock for my Sneakers, but the bustle of life as a pregnant mom with a toddler kept holding me back.
You can imagine my surprise (and joy!) when someone from Sheec socks actually reached out to me a few weeks later after reading my Rothy’s review offering to send me a variety of their no-show socks to try with all of my Rothy’s styles. The coincidental timing was perfect and receiving that email was just the nudge I needed to finally have a little extra comfort when I wore my Rothy’s Sneakers – in addition to all my other Rothy’s styles.
In the past few months, I’ve come to learn a lot about pairing no-show socks with Rothy’s (and any other kind of shoe) and I’m really excited to pass along the information to you so you can have the best, most comfortable and truly invisible fit possible from a no-show sock. The people over at Sheec have even been kind enough to build a special page on their website that takes all of the guesswork out of finding the perfect no-show socks for each Rothy’s style. It’s All About the Coverage
The key to a really comfortable experience with no-show socks is proper coverage; it’s not just about making sure your socks don’t show. You want to get the most sock coverage possible within your shoes, while still keeping your socks hidden out of sight. If your no-show socks don’t provide enough coverage, you’re still likely to suffer from too much friction, which can cause a whole host of discomfort including irritation, sweating, and (worst of all) blisters.
Why Sheec No-Show Socks are the Best
I know there lots of no-show socks on the market, and I’ve tried many brands with various pairs of shoes over the years, but Sheec no-show socks really are the best. All the Sheec socks featured in this post have reinforced toes and heels for added durability and silicone strips to ensure that your Sheecs won’t slip off or slide inside your shoe. They truly stay in place.
All Sheec socks are sized by shoe size to guarantee a perfect fit every time. Sheec socks are available in women’s sizes 5-14 and men’s sizes 6.5-12. They are currently developing additional sizes to fit every foot.
The Secret 2.0 Silicone Sole
The Secret 2.0 Ultra Low-Cut socks pair perfectly with three different Rothy’s styles. These socks are fantastic because they are cut low enough to actually show a little toe cleavage – but it’s easy to confuse the heel and the toe in this particular style. A quick and easy tip to ensure a proper fit is to remember that all the Sheec Secret 2.0 socks have a nonslip silicone patch that says “Sheec” printed on the sole of the foot. When you wear the socks, just make sure the imprint appears on the ball of your foot and you’ll be good to go!
The Best No-Show Sock for Each Rothy’s Style
With such a variety of Sheec No-Show Socks, it can be a little daunting to try and find the best pair to wear with each Rothy’s style. I’m taking all the guesswork out of it for you and helping you discover exactly which pair of Sheec socks is ideal for all of your Rothy’s shoes. You can keep reading through the post or skip right over to my custom page on the Sheec website for stress-free shopping! The Flat
The best Sheec no-show sock to wear with a pair of Rothy’s Flats is the Sheec Secret 2.0 Ultra Low-Cut sock. The ultra-low design allows for a little peep of toe cleavage with a silicone patch on the bottom of the sock to prevent your foot from sliding around inside the shoe. Even better yet, the silicone grips on the toes and heels keep these little socks in place all day long.
The Point
Since The Point features a little pop of toe cleavage, the Sheec Secret 2.0 Ultra Low-Cut is perfect for these Rothy’s. The sleek design keeps these no-show socks hidden while the silicone grips on the heel and toe ensure that the sock doesn’t slide around while you walk. The Ultra-Low cut design provides perfect invisible coverage.
The Mary Jane
The Mary Jane style is arguably the most beautiful shoes in the Rothy’s product line and I love them so much! Just like the Flat and the Point, the Mary Jane pairs perfectly with Sheec Secret 2.0 Ultra Low-Cut socks. The super low-cut design keeps the socks out of sight so they don’t distract from the gorgeous bow detail of these shoes!
The Loafer
The Sheec Secret 2.0 Low-Cut provides ideal no-show comfort and protection for Rothy’s Loafers. They offer more coverage than the Ultra Low-Cut style, which prevents any unnecessary friction and discomfort from the fibers of the Loafers. The touch of silicone on the sock’s sole and inside the heel keep the Sheec Secret 2.0 Low-Cut sock perfectly in place all day long.
The Sneaker
If you’re a Sneaker lover, I have great news – there are actually two different Sheec socks that can be work with the Rothy’s Sneaker with no-show coverage. (And if you’re like me and don’t love the Sneaker because your foot rubs uncomfortably inside them – these Sheec socks will help you fall in love with the Sneaker.)
First up is the Secret 2.0 Mid-Cut socks. These socks feature the same nylon toe cover, cotton sole, and silicone heel and sole pads as the low-cut and ultra low-cut Sheec socks. They simply provide coverage that extends mid-way up the foot for maximum no-show coverage.
Sneaker lovers also have the option of wearing Sheec Active Low-Cut socks. These no-show socks are made from moisture-wicking modal fabric with antibacterial treatment and are great option if you are prone to sweaty feet. The Sheec Active Low-Cut socks have silicone patches inside the heel to keep the socks in place. I personally love these socks and think they are super-comfortable. They are the pair I reach for most often when I wear my Sneakers and keep the socks on long after I have kicked my shoes off for the day.
The Chelsea
The Chelsea is a recent addition to the Rothy’s family of shoe styles and should be worn with a sock that provides higher coverage, while still being tucked out of sight to ensure a no-show look. Sheec Active High-Cut socks provide ample coverage to ensure comfortable protection against unwanted friction and blisters while you are on the go.
Just like the Sneaker, Sheec also makes an active style of no-show sock that pairs well with The Chelsea: the Active Mid-Cut sock. The lightweight, modal fabric is moisture wicking and has antibacterial properties to keep your feet fresh on an active day. I love these socks and highly recommend them for the Chelsea.
Why I Love Each Sheec Style
Every sock in the Sheec product line is fantastic and delivers no-show comfort to take a little load off your hard-working feet. Here’s a quick recap of every Sheec style highlighted in this post and what makes them special:
The Secret 2.0 Ultra Low-Cut socks are great because they’re the most versatile pair of Sheecs for my wardrobe. I love that they pair perfectly with my Rothy’s Flats, Points and Mary Janes, but also with my Tieks ballet flats, and nearly every other dressy, closed-toe shoes in my closet.
I love my Rothy’s Loafers because they’re lightweight, casual and perfect for a quick trip out the door. Sheec’s Secret 2.0 Low-Cut socks provide the perfect amount of casual no-show coverage while I’m out.
I’ve worn the Active Low-Cut Sheec socks more than any other pair. I’ve practically been living in my Rothy’s Sneakers when I take my two kids outside to play or go for a walk around the block. The lightweight knit fabric is soft, stretchy, and comfortable.
The Secret 2.0 Mid-Cut also pair great with my Rothy’s Sneakers and I love the touch of silicone on the bottom of the sole which ensures that I won’t slide around on my bare floors as I’m chasing kids around the house and trying to get ready to go.
The Sheec Active Mid-Cut socks have a higher cut that peek out a bit from under my Rothy’s Sneakers, but they are a great match for most other slip-on sneaker styles and perfect for the Chelsea. I love the casual, comfortable knit material and that the reinforced toe gives these socks added durability so much that I sometimes wear them with my Rothy’s Sneakers anyway!
The Sheec Secret 2.0 High-Cut socks offer maximum coverage for a no-show sock. They pair perfectly with my Chelsea Rothy’s to prevent any possible friction or discomfort. |

Quick question – I have VERY sensitive bones in my feet (rheumatoid arthritis) and LOVE Rothys (bought my first pair with your referral code nearly a year ago). I have tried Bombas no show socks with my Rothys but find they put uncomfortable pressure on my toes even though I’m only a Rothys size 10 (9 normally). It feels like they’re too small even though they aren’t. Do the Sheecs place less front to back pressure on the toes than Bombas? Thanks!

Hi, have you heard anything about these socks being especially good for someone who can never seem to keep them on their feet? Every pair of no show socks I try just slip right off my heel! :( Thanks so much.

These might be perfect for you. They have a silicone strip on the heel that helps keep the socks in place. I have some no-show socks from other brands that fall off my my Sheec socks always stay in place.
