It’s that time again! I am so excited to share my April Stitch Fix Review with you on the blog today. It may be April 1, but there are no tricks here – just a really great maternity fix. I’m currently 25 weeks into my pregnancy and incredibly grateful to see any clothes that I can add to my very limited maternity wardrobe. My stylist, Jodi, hit my fix out of the park once again. Jodi specializes in maternity fixes so she has only been styling me for a few months, but I feel like she just gets me and my personal style. I’m so excited to share this fix with you, in addition to another $300 Stitch Fix giveaway once again this month. You’ll want to read all the way to the end of this post so you don’t miss out.
This post contains affiliate links, including my Stitch Fix referral link. I hope you enjoy reading this post as much as I enjoy sharing it with you.
How Stitch Fix Works
I know I talk about Stitch Fix referral link on the blog a lot, but if you’re new here, you might be wondering exactly how Stitch Fix works. I’m thrilled to fill you in on the details. Stitch Fix is an online styling service for men and women.
It’s free to sign up. Once you create your account, you will be guided to complete your style profile, which is a series of questions about your sizes, your personal style, and your budget preferences.
When you are ready, you can schedule your very first fix. For a $20 styling fee, you will be matched with a personal stylist who will review your style profile and hand-pick five items just for you and ship them to you for free. You have three days to try the items on in the comfort of your home, with other clothing items that you already own to ensure that they will be a great addition to your existing wardrobe.
After you’ve tried everything on, keep the items you love, check out online or in the Stitch Fix iPhone app and return any unwanted items in the pre-paid shipping envelope that also comes in your fix. Returns are also free and the entire process couldn’t be easier.
Best of all, your $20 styling fee is automatically deducted from your total when you check out. As a special bonus, Stitch Fix offers a 25% discount on every item in your fix if you choose to purchase everything.
A lot of people think that Stitch Fix is a subscription service, but it’s not. You can automate your fixes to arrive once a month (or even more often than that), but it isn’t a subscription by default. When you are ready for a fix, just log in and schedule a shipment. I know many people who only get one box each season or when they have a special event coming up (like a vacation).
Stitch Fix proudly offers plus size and maternity styling, in addition to styling services for the man in your life. It’s truly an amazing service for everyone. I’ve had dozens of regular fixes, a few maternity fixes and my husband has even enjoyed receiving shipments from Stitch Fix men.
Stitch Fix is absolutely my favorite way to shop for clothes and if you’ve been on the fence or wondering about this amazing service, I highly encourage you to sign up and give it a try!
Now that you know a little bit about how Stitch Fix works, let’s dive into my April Stitch Fix review. I can’t believe this is the 47th fix that I’ve received!
Mirabella Maternity Capri Skinny Jean
The first item I tried on was the Mirabella Maternity Capri Skinny Jean from Liverpool ($68). Even though it’s still a little chilly in Michigan, warm weather will be here soon and I appreciate that Jodi was already thinking ahead to the warmer months.
The Mirabella Maternity Capri Skinny Jeans were a great fit. I own many pairs of Liverpool pants from my pre-maternity Stitch Fix shipments and I know these are the kind of pants that I could count on. They were great, casual pants that I could easily style in many ways.
I especially loved pairing the capris with a gray striped maternity t-shirt, a bargain pair of gray tennis shoes, my silver Kate Spade watch and the Perry Street Olivia necklace that came in my Rocksbox. A white denim jacket added an extra layer for cooler days.

Even though the Mirabella Maternity Capri Skinny Jean were a great fit, I ultimately decided to return them. My clothing budget has taken a pretty big hit for the past several weeks and I finally caved and invested in more basic maternity necessities. I only had enough room in the budget to purchase one item from my fix this month.
Medford Maternity Knit Top
When I saw a preview of the Medford Maternity Knit Top from Loveappella Maternity ($48), I wasn’t quite sure what to think. The preview photo made the top look a little boxy and just so-so. I tried the top on and fell in love. It was lightweight with a very soft knit that felt great on. It also looked fantastic with a pair of black maternity leggings.
I love how the Medford Maternity Knit Top delivered such great style, but packed in so much comfort. It’s the perfect type of top for me to wear to work as a kindergarten teacher. It looked great with my Perry Street Olivia necklace from Rocksbox, my silver Kate Spade watch and my matte black Tieks.
People ask all the time about my Tieks and if they are really worth the investment. My answer is always yes (otherwise I wouldn’t own four pair), but you need to make sure that the pair you get is actually a great fit before you decide to keep them. If you’re curious about Tieks, check out this blog post; it has answers to ALL of your questions!
For colder days, this outfit also looks great with a pair of classic black riding boots.
I loved this top and was sooo tempted to keep it. I knew I would get a lot of use from the Medford Maternity Knit Top and it was a great professional piece to add to my wardrobe. Despite that, I knew I was only going to keep one item from my fix this month. Now that it’s April, I’m tired of wearing black clothes and I’m desperate to dress in lighter colors that get me excited for spring (even though it’s still very chilly in Michigan). If it were February, this would have been such a keeper. But since it’s now April, I was ready to send it back.

The Perry Street Olivia necklace was a great compliment to the subtle black and white polka dots of the knit top. I’m pretty sure this necklace is a Rocksbox exclusive item, and it has become such a staple accessory for me. It goes with almost everything I own!
Razi Maternity Aline Dress
The next item I tried on was a green Razi Maternity Aline Dress from Le Lis ($68). This dress is such a great option to work into a spring wardrobe and it was so comfortable!
I’m not generally a fan of v-necks and a sleeveless/v-neck combo isn’t usually the most flattering look on me. One reason I love having long hair (and the reason why I always wear it down) is because it softens my shoulders and neckline for various outfits. The long hair certainly did the trick with this dress.
I always prefer a top with sleeves to a sleeveless option, so I covered up a bit with a white open cardigan from Old Navy. (Make sure you size down – an extra small fit me perfectly!) I also added my Olivia necklace from Rocksbox (yes, I really do wear it this often), my silver Kate Spade watch, and gray tennis shoes because… well, comfort.
