My April Stitch Fix Review,
 Maternity Style (#47)

April 1, 2017 By Maria Gavin - 88 Comments

This post contains affiliate links, as well as my Stitch Fix referral link. We receive a small commission each time someone makes a purchase through one of our links, which helps to support the blog and our family. I hope you enjoy reading about this month’s fix!

Welcome back for the second half of my April Stitch Fix referral link Review. This month’s fix has several wonderful maternity items, which are perfect as I head into the 6th month of my pregnancy. If you missed the first half of my post, just click the image below to catch up. Otherwise, let’s keep going so I can show you the remaining items in my fix this month!

Lauderdale Knit Cardigan

You know how I said I have been craving light colors to put me in the mood for spring? Jodi hit the nail on the head when she sent the Lauderdale Knit Cardigan from Market & Spruce ($38). The blush pink open cardigan was just my style. Look at the price – only $38! And it’s not even a maternity item. I’m not even going to hold you in suspense – this sweater was definitely a keeper!

I played up the neutrals with this look and it has me so excited for spring! The cardigan looked great with my non-maternity striped tank (a Nordstrom bargain!), some dark maternity jeans, and gray tennis shoes. I accessorized with my silver Kate Spade watch, my silver and gray Kendra Scott bracelet, and a blush pink statement necklace from Loft to add a little sparkle. Hands down, this is my new favorite weekend look.

I also like that I don’t look gigantically pregnant in this outfit. I’ve noticed that maternity shirts have a way of enhancing the bump and making it look so big. I can still fit into many of my flowy, non-maternity tops and blouses; which I wear to work often.

On the occasional day that I wear an actual maternity top, people do a double take at my bump and say “Whoa! Where did that come from?” I don’t think they believe me when I say that it totally depends on what kind of top I wear. Well, here’s the proof. I look significantly less pregnant in these photos than the others in my post and it’s all because of the top. It’s almost like this baby bump is another accessory in my wardrobe. Sometimes I like to enhance it. Sometimes I like to downplay the bump. Either way, it’s good to have options. For now.

Karene Perforated Bootie

The final item that Jodi included in my fix was a pair of shoes. You do know that Stitch Fix referral link also carries shoes, right? This month she sent the Karene Perforated Bootie from DV8 ($95). The thing I love most about Stitch Fix shoes is that they work with well-known shoe designers in the industry and these Dolce Vita booties were no exception!

The tan booties made my neutral-loving heart happy and they were a perfect fit. As a matter of fact, they even looked pretty spectacular with my new favorite weekend outfit.

As tempted as I was to keep the Karene Perforated Booties, I ultimately decided to send them back. I could only afford to keep one item from this month’s fix and I just didn’t love the shoes as much as the blush cardigan. If you’re in the market for a new pair of booties, I highly recommend pinning these and requesting them from your stylist. I also found similar pairs online if you just can’t wait for your next fix.
