Welcome back to another peek at at my latest Stitch Fix box! My March Stitch Fix Maternity review included a few hits and a few misses, but the hits were just my style and my monthly budget appreciated that not every item was a keeper. If you missed the first half of my review, click the image below to get started. Otherwise, let’s keep scrolling! Make sure you read all the way to the end because I’m joining with several other Stitch Fix bloggers to bring you a $350 Stitch Fix gift card giveaway this month.
Adorra Maternity Skinny Jean (Keep)
My stylist, Jodi, included a gorgeous pair of green maternity pants in this fix. Until this point, my wardrobe was pretty much dominated by leggings and I was excited to try on an actual pair of pants that could accommodate my growing baby bump. And the fact that the Adorra Maternity Skinny Jean from Just Black ($88) were a deep shade of green was just icing on the cake! The color was interesting, but not so outrageous that I would only be able to pair one or two tops with the skinny jeans.
I received the most beautiful convertible scarf/poncho as a gift for Christmas and have been looking for a great way to style it. These pants coordinated so well with the poncho colors, without being too matchy-matchy. I polished the look off with a pair of brown riding boots (similar here) and was good to go!
There was no doubt in my mind that I would keep the Adorra Maternity Skinny Jean. I’ve actually already worn this outfit to work on a day that I just wanted to be warm and cozy. I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments I received on my outfit that day.
RECREATE THE LOOK:
After wearing these pants on several occasions, it is worth noting that they have a lot of stretch. So much, in fact, that these pants are very prone to sagging and I find myself having to hike them up throughout the day far more often that I need to do with my other maternity pants. The care instructions say that they can go in in the dryer at low heat and I’ve just been letting them hang dry. I will probably throw them in the dryer next time and see if it helps keep them in place a bit better.
These pants were a size 27 (my usual pre-pregnancy size) so if you receive these pants and they are a perfect fit at first, you may want to wear them around the house with the tags on for a day and see what happens. If they start to sag, it might be worth exchanging them for the next size down. I seriously LOVE these pants, but I wish they didn’t stretch and sag quite so much.
Jesse Crossbody Bag (Return)
The final item included in my March Stitch Fix box was a purple Jesse Crossbody Bag from Shiraleah ($48). The crossbody bag had a removable shoulder strap that allowed it to double as a clutch. I absolutely loved the rich purple color and the soft, suede-like texture.
I kept on the green Adorra Maternity Skinny Jean, put on a pair of heeled suede booties and added one of my favorite maternity tops from Pink Blush.
I ultimately decided not to keep the Jesse Crossbody Bag (although I was seriously tempted!). When it comes down to it, I already have a really great Kate Spade bag that I use on a regular basis. It holds all of my essential belongings and the neutral color pairs well with all of my outfits.
RECREATE THE LOOK
I’ve looked all over the internet for a similar floral top, but it seems as though this item from Pink Blush is truly unique. You can find it here. Shop the widget below to shop by style for the other items in this look:

Suzanne Jones says
I love the tops and can see that they would work as non-maternity also!
jessica says
what’s the panel like on the just black jeans? is it a full belly panel? they do look great on you {and I’m obsessed with that floral blouse you paired with them} but the stretching and sagging only gets worse as your belly gets larger and your waist no longer exists.
Maria Gavin says
The jeans have a full belly panel that I have been folding down. Now that I actually have a noticeable bump, I’ve been pulling the panel all the way up so that there’s more surface area with a snug fit to help keep them pulled up. I’m so sad to hear that the sagging gets worse with time! I figured the stretched panel would provide a little resistance and help keep them pulled up!
Hannah H. says
I would love to try some new dresses for work from Stitch Fix!
Molly Burkett says
I would ask for jeans. My office just changed the dress code and we’re allowed to wear jeans every day now. I need to stock up
Maria Gavin says
That sounds heavenly. I would love an excuse to stock up on jeans!
Heather says
I would love to request the mixed material top that you purchased- I wonder if they have it in a non-maternity version!
Maria Gavin says
I’m not sure if it does, but you should pin it either way. It makes a GREAT non-maternity top.
Skye F. says
I love those green jeans on you! If I win I would love to request a non-maternity pair in that color!
Colleen says
Looking great, Maria! Wishing you and Rob the best in this new phase of your life! If I win, I’m thinking casual dresses and a fun spring bag:)
Maria Gavin says
Thank you so much, Colleen! I’m dreaming of cute casual dresses right now too :)
Beth Laughlin says
Maria, You are looking lovely! :) I am so happy for you. I am a stitch fix customer, and I do love the service. I have taken a break from it, and I’m ready to start back this month! I fall in between some of their present large sizes and the smaller plus size sizes, so I am updating my profile, and will see what I get! Because of some mobility issues, I have put on some weight, but with physical therapy, exercise, and watching my diet I hope to reduce some, but, at the same time, I want to feel good about myself NOW!! :) So, I am looking forward to my next stitch fix box…. and would ask for some pretty floral tops, cropped pants, skinny jeans, leggings! I enjoy your blog!
Maria Gavin says
Thank you so much, Beth! I hope that Stitch Fix’s new expansion into plus sizes will suit your needs! You absolutely deserve to feel good about yourself now and it’s amazing how special clues can do that for you. Best of luck with your physical therapy and lifestyle changes.
Erica says
I’m really impressed with this selection – very feminine looking! I find the most flattering maternity shirts are the ones which have side ruching, they look much snugger but actually accentuate the bump while also hiding any back or side bumps. My biggest issue with maternity tops was them being too short! I have a long torso and it was hard to find tops long enough for third trimester. I also never found a pair of over-belly jeans which stayed up before third trimester, I just bought jeans one size bigger and used the hair tie trick (loop around button and through button hole) for my first 2 trimesters. This sounds like an interesting service, I hadn’t heard of it before, thanks!
Jennifer says
My wardrobe needs a complete overhaul, but at this point I probably need some versatile dresses the most.
Charleen Wells says
I would love some new Spring pieces from SF!

Love your maternity style! I love stitch fix but our budget doesn’t often allow for a box. If I could schedule another order, I’d specifically ask for tailored blouses.
Maria Gavin says
I hear you about the budget limitations. I’m only keeping one item from my April fix because we have a tight budget around here right now too!
Jennifer C. says
I think I’d ask for shorts and casual tops!
Sarah P. says
I love your maternity fixes. Mine have been just so-so, perhaps because I only do a fix a season. Since I am due in less than a week, I would request transitional pieces to flatter a post-partum body as I lose the baby weight.
Maria Gavin says
I’m so sad to hear that you didn’t love your maternity fixes! Sending prayers and well wishes for an easy delivery – enjoy that new addition to your family when it arrives!
Lexi says
I am dying for a good chambray shirt!

Me too!!! You’ll have to let me know if you finally find one!
Amy C. says

Katie Shuster says
If I won this giveaway I’d be requesting some colorful cropped pants or skinny jeans and fun printed tops for summer! I live in MS, so it’s already in the 80s here!
Karly says
Oh my gosh! Loved them all, makes me wish that I could wear maternity clothes even though I’m not pregnant!! haha
I’ve been loving stitch fix so $350 would be glorious, crossing my fingers so I can finally splurge and get a pair of jeans! I’ve been trying to hold back because of the $88 price point on most brands!
Maria Gavin says
LOL, about the maternity clothes! Stitch Fix certainly has sent some really beautiful pieces my way. I get it about the $88 price points. When you do choose to invest in a good pair of jeans, you won’t regret it!
Ellen says
I just signed up! So excited! I would love dresses and flat sandals.
Devon Figge says
Love seeing the maternity options! I’m about 10 weeks behind you and am enjoying seeing what’s to come!
Maria Gavin says
So much fun! Just wait until you feel that baby move – coolest feeling ever. This little one has been moving for two weeks and I feel it more often ever day.
Jessica says
You look amazing!
I would love to see pieces that can add a feminine touch to an outfit without going overboard!
Maria Gavin says
Thank you so much Jessica. You are a girl after my own heart – I love the subtle feminine details too.
Caryn Baker says
Loved that olive-stripped top on you! You have a natural grace about you that is evident in your writing and in the pictures on your posts. Thank you for your fresh and encouraging perspective on so many things!
I’ve signed up for Stitch-Fix and I’ll be getting my first fix later this month! I can’t wait! I’m also a teacher, so I’m looking forward to trying new things on and seeing how they’ll work in my classroom.
Maria Gavin says
Oh my goodness, Caryn, I think that is one of the most thoughtful compliments I’ve ever received. If I have any grace at all, it was inherited from my mom. I’m so happy to hear that the content we share really resonates with you.
Congrats on your upcoming first fix. I will cross my fingers and hope that it’s a good one!
Teresa Hayworth says
If I won I would ask for some colored jeans and a few spring dresses. I would like a pretty cross body purse.
Nichole Frerichs says
I would request a date night dress and some fun tops for spring/summer.
Christi Bingham says
I subscribe to Stitch Fix and my next shipment is about to arrive. I’d love some colorful denium in a straight cut and a few springy but modest tops that I can wear to my teaching job.
Maria Gavin says
That sounds like a perfect teacher’s wardrobe!
Laurie Klebosky says
If I won, I would ask for a wardrobe for my Scotland trip! Enough options to mix and match but take up as little suitcase room as possible!
Maria Gavin says
I love that idea! It’s like having a mini capsule wardrobe for your trip. I’ll cross my fingers for you – have an AMAZING trip!
S. says
I would especially look for a blouse. I always like that you have a conservative, practical work style.
Maria Gavin says
Thanks S! The Stitch Fix blouses are always my favorite. I can never find blouses that layer as well or have as many interesting details as the ones I get from SF.
Emily McConathy says
You are looking great in your new pregnancy wardrobe! If I won the gift card I would request anything pants from Lila Ryan that I don’t have. I love that brand! And I’d want a few more really cute tops.
Maria Gavin says
Thank you Erin. I only own one item from Lila Ryan and it’s a pair of skinny jeans that I only owned briefly before getting pregnant. Now that I know how much you love that brand, it makes me VERY curious to get a few more items!
Jennifer A says
I love the floral bottom on the mixed material blouse. I’m going to pin it even though I’m not pregnant.
Maria Gavin says
I would do the same thing if I wasn’t pregnant. It’s a perfect top and would probably fit you just fine!
Christy Peeples DuBois says
I love your Stitch Fix Reviews. You give me so much insight on your thought process in styling and to keep or not. I am so happy for y’all having a bundle of joy. Thanks.
Alexis S. says
Looking forward to my first Fix ever on Friday, which also happens to be maternity! I was a little wary when I signed up but it sounds like the perfect service for me….reading your last 2 blogs is giving me a lot of hope for what’s to come! (I’m only in my first trimester.) Good luck for the rest of your pregnancy!
Lorissa Grant says
Great review! I’ve had a few not so great experiences with “regular” stitch fix but I keep going back. Always looking for honest reviews.
Rozlynn says
Could you please, please share your hair routine? What size curling iron you use to achieve the beautiful loose curls? I LOVE your hair! Also, any tips for getting a similar cut would be great as in buzzwords your hair stylist has used about how she is cutting your hair. I can’t find a contact button so I’m posting here. Thank you!!!
Maria Gavin says
Hi Rozlynn! I’d be happy to share my hair routine on the blog (although it’s pretty basic). When I get my hair cut, I ask for long, subtle layers and shorter layers in front without a full face frame. I curl my hair with a 1″ barrel curling iron and use hair spray when I’m done (usually just Fructis brand because it’s cheap.). Hopefully that helps for now. I’ll see if I can share more in a blog post down the road.
Rozlynn says
Thank you! You have such classic style. I am so thankful to have found your blog.
Lauren W says
I’d love to use this as a chance to get some clothes for work. I’m no longer in K-12 education, I made the switch to higher ed and it’s a fancier dress code!
Lindsey S. says
I have been very intrigued with Stitch Fix!! I might just have to try it. Thanks for sharing the great tips!
Lindsey S. says
Love all of your reviews!! I am so excited for the giveaway as well. As a first year Kindergarten teacher, I am always looking to expand my professional wardrobe.
Sarah Chastain says
Love all of these outfits!! I have been contemplating starting up a Stitch Fix subscription and your posts convince me more and more!
Erin says
Those outfits are gorgeous! My youngest is almost 8 and I had the hardest time finding maternity jeans that were actually stylish. I finally dropped $$$ at Pea in the Pod for one stylish pair. I’m kind of jealous at all the gorgeous styles now.
Maria Gavin says
I am SO thankful that maternity fashion has come a long way in the past few years. It’s still sort of a challenge to find cute maternity clothes, but I can’t imagine trying to shop for clothes 9 years ago!
Jenn says
My husband and I are hoping to get pregnant in the next few months and I’m so glad to see that there are cute maternity options through Stitch Fix. I teach fourth grade and can see the versatility of these pieces for pregnancy and teaching. :)
Maria Gavin says
There are SO many cute maternity options that Stitch Fix offers – and yes they are SO great for teacing! Sending prayers for an easy conception and a bundle of joy coming your way soon!
Lacey says
Love those pants!!
Anna A says
I am definitely not a poncho person but I may be rethinking that now 💕
Laura Kiehl says
I have my second maternity fix coming in a few days. I found both your posts hoping for some inspiration. I hope my fix turns out as well as this! I love those green pants!
Maria Gavin says
I hope your fix is amazing and that it includes a truly wonderful pair of pants!
Natalie says
How did the Full Moon brand shirt hold up? I just got a fix with a few pieces from that brand but couldn’t find any reviews as to their quality. :)
Maria Gavin says
Hi Natalie, that shirt held up GREAT. It got me through two pregnancies and looked fantastic every time I wore it. I hope that helps!
