Most people are done celebrating the holidays by now. All the presents have been unwrapped, the Festivus pole has been put away, the New Years celebrations are over, and now it’s time to start getting back to work and school. Not quite yet for Maria and I, though. We are celebrating the second anniversary of our first date.
It has been a wonderful two years together. We are keeping the celebrations today pretty low-key; our holidays were already jam-packed and we have an even more jam-packed year coming up as we plan our wedding, search for a house, and begin our married lives together. So today’s activities included wedding planning, business goal setting, and dining at one of our favorite Greek restaurants before Maria begins the Whole30.
Here’s to a wonderful two years together and to many, many more!
We still celebrate the anniversary of our first date and we have been married 17 years. We always go have dinner at the restaurant where it all began on our first date.
That’s a great idea! We’ll have to try something like that. I hope the restaurant we met at is still in business for that long, haha!
I was a little worried about that same thing. Thankfully we picked a restaurant that is still going strong. The funny thing is that we now take our boys with us for our celebration and let them know where this is where it all began. Some people including my boys think it is weird but I love it and will never stop going. March 10 will be the 19th anniversary of our 1st date. It helps that our 1st date was in March and our Wedding month is November so they aren’t too close to each other.
