Spring is here and I have been itching to add a few new seasonal items to my closet. Rob and I have some big financial goals for the year and that doesn’t always coincide with my desire for a wardrobe refresh, so he and I are both happy any time I’m able to scratch the itch without a big hit to our monthly budget. I recently ventured in to Walmart to check out their spring styles and was astounded by how affordable the clothes are. I treated myself to a mini shopping spree and was able to create 5 spring looks that are very easy on the budget. The best part? All of these looks are non-maternity items that are also bump-friendly; which means there are great looks for everyone, whether or not you are expecting!

Outfit #1: BoHo Casual
I will always love wearing a crisp white top, especially in the spring and this Embroidered Neck Top has a great boho twist. The top is very roomy, so I highly recommend sizing down (I’m wearing a size small) and there’s plenty of room to accommodate me and my growing baby bump.
Anything embroidered is on-trend right now and I love all of the stitched details of this top. (My necklace and bracelet are also from Walmart, but are only available in-store).
These photos were shot a few weeks ago, while I was right at the end of my first trimester. The Time & Tru jeggings were super-soft and fit great with plenty of stretch. Best of all, the elastic waist was perfect for that awkward stage when my regular jeans were too tight and I wasn’t quite ready to dig out the maternity pants.

And how cute are these leopard print flats? They were such a fun shoe and instantly elevated the outfit. I also think these huarache style shoes would be a great alternative if you wanted to dress down the look a bit.
Outfit #2: Flowy Florals
I love florals and flowy layers, so I was super-excited to grab this split back mixed media sweater. The lightweight sweater is long-sleeved, so it adds a little extra warmth for those in-between spring weather days and the flowy floral layer had the most beautiful pleat details in the back. Mix it with a comfy pair of jeggings, a simple necklace and these dusty pink flats and I was good to go!

Outfit #3: Breezy & Casual
When I saw the mixed media top, I was torn about which color to get and the price was unbeatable, so I went ahead and let myself purchase two of them! I loved the lighter color palate of the khaki safari heather style, which is just a little more casual and perfect for a weekend outing. This bump just keeps on growing, so I styled it with a pair of maternity jeans (similar here) and some cute laser cut flats. Mine were purchased in-store at Walmart, but you can grab a similar sneaker style online. I love this look and have gotten so many compliments on it!

Outfit #4: Date Night
Need a simple outfit for an upcoming event or even a date night? I’ve got you covered! You may recall the striped olive colored dress that I wore for a recent outing with Dessa. I adore that dress and also bought the same style in black. The dress is incredibly comfortable and it is so easy to elevate with a little jewelry and a simple scarf or wrap.
Sometimes it’s fun to mix prints in an unexpected way, so I added the same leopard print flats that I wore earlier.
The best thing about a simple cotton dress is how incredibly easy it is to dress down with a denim jacket and this one was no exception.
I’m not sure how it’s possible that I forgot to get a photo of the entire outfit, but you can definitely get a feel for how well this incredibly simple outfit came together.

Outfit #5: Weekend Ruffles
It’s fun to dress up, but sometimes I just want to relax in a pair of jeans and a comfortable t-shirt. I adore the soft lilac color of the sandwash ruffle top. It’s perfect for spring and the oh-so-comfy. The top isn’t maternity but I love that it’s long enough to provide great coverage over my bump! I recommend sizing down for this top (I’m wearing a small). As comfortable as this outfit is, the look was easily elevated with a bright white pair of sneakers. I grabbed this pair in store and was surprised by how the comfort level rivaled similar styles from more expensive brands.
My favorite detail of this shirt is definitely the ruffles. They’re just the right size to make an impact without overwhelming my frame.
