I cannot believe this is my 24th Stitch Fix Review. Every box I receive from Stitch Fix has been a joy and I don’t say this lightly, but this was by far my very best Stitch Fix shipment EVER. I told my stylist, Layla, that I will be attending two weddings this summer and requested a few dresses that might be perfect for the occasion. I also asked for a casual maxi dress because I love the last one she sent so much.
Holy cow, did Layla ever deliver! This month’s box included FIVE DRESSES in the most gorgeous colors. She sent dresses for several occasions and I fell instantly in love! Get ready to pin your favorites because this blog post is loaded with some serious eye candy. I’m also giving away a Stitch Fix gift card at the end of this post so you’ll want to scroll all the way down!

Enough chat for now. Let’s dive into this amazing fix!
The first item I tried on was a gorgeous cobalt blue Dixon Scallop Trim Dress from Everly ($64).
My style profile politely asks Layla to please not send v-necks since I don’t usually feel comfortable wearing them. What I love about Stitch Fix is that it pushes me to try things that are out of my comfort level. This dress was a perfect example. I fell in love with the scallops around the neckline instantly and was anxious to try it on despite my general disinterest in anything with a v-neck. I fell madly in love with this dress and it looked stunning with the jewelry from my wedding (which I wear as often as I possibly can.)
I initially tried on the dress with my rhinestone peep-toe pumps.
For a more casual date-night look, I swapped the black pumps for a pair of white jeweled t-strap sandals. I love the carefree summer style that a simple change of shoes brings to the dress!
Speaking of shoes, I have been saving my pennies to buy a new pair and these Silver Screen Tieks are on my wishlist. How fabulous would they look with this dress?!?! I’ve posted a thorough review of Tieks ballet flats if you have been debating getting a pair for yourself.
The next item I tried on was a light green Mitchel Maxi Dress from Gilli ($78). It was more of a turquoise color than light green and I loved the colorblock effect that was achieved with the neutral stripes.
My biggest complaint with maxi dresses is that they often have too much fabric on top and giant armpit holes. I had recently requested that Layla be on the lookout for tops and dresses with smaller arm holes and this was positively perfect.
I wore a mint statement necklace with this dress and it was the perfect accessory. Mine is a few years old, but I found a similar necklace here.
Initially, I was SO excited to have another dress to add to my school wardrobe (just add a denim jacket!) That thought came to a screeching halt when I saw the cutout in the back of this dress. It’s actually a subtle detail and is a flattering cutaway, but probably not appropriate for me to wear while I teach kindergarten in a Catholic school. So this dress will simply be part of my “summer fun” wardrobe. And that’s ok, because it really is gorgeous!
The third item I tried on was the Lex Textured Floral Knit Fit & Flare Dress from Bixon Ivy ($74). The chartreuse and gray color combo was a little bit out there and the texture of the dress reminded me of curtains, but that didn’t stop me from wanting to try it on. I get the most compliments on my clothes when I wear unusual colors and I could sense that this dress had serious potential to be a summer showstopper.
The length was a few inches shorter than I prefer but the dress fit like it was made for me and it was very flattering!
I decided to offset the short skirt by adding a little extra covering with my cropped denim jacket. I love how this transformed the look and draws the eye away from my legs and up toward my face.
Item number four was an Amandine Faux Wrap Dress by Leota ($138). I usually hate any type of wrap dress because I don’t think they look flattering on me and I usually prefer to wear clothes that have more structure than the slinky fabrics that this and all wrap dresses are made of. Stitch Fix always encourages their customers to try on every single item in their fix so I reluctantly wore the dreaded wrap dress.
Turns out, it was pretty great!
The top of the dress was as clingly as any wrap dress I had ever tried on, but the black fabric helped it remain a modest look and I really loved the bold floral print used on the skirt. I especially loved that the skirt actually touched my knees! This may not be my favorite dress of all time, but it looks very professional and will be perfect for evening events at my school.
The fifth and final item included in my fix this month was a navy blue Edmund Pinstripe Dress from Ivy + Blu ($64). This was the lowest-priced item in my fix and it was also my very favorite!
The dress looked great with a nice pair of heels but you and I both know I won’t be wearing those shoes to work. The beauty of this dress is how versatile it is. The navy pinstripe can be an instant staple for a conservative night out or can easily transform into a classic preppy look.
I grabbed my denim jacket, white ceramic Fossil watch and a long silver necklace and was instantly kindergarten chic!
They no longer make my watch, but I have recently purchased a Kate Spade stainless steel watch that would look amazing with this ensemble!
My Ballerina Pink Tieks added instant comfort for facing a long day in the classroom on my feet.
And there you have it! Five beautiful dresses and I decided to keep every single one of them!
The Buy All Discount
As if adding five fabulous new pieces to your wardrobe wasn’t amazing enough, Stitch Fix makes the day even sweeter with their Buy All discount.
