Ladies, I am so, so, SO excited to share this month’s Stitch Fix review with you. Why? Because I finally bit the bullet and gave Stitch Fix Luxe a try … and it was ah-mazing. Not only that, but I have partnered with some of my favorite Stitch Fix bloggers once again to bring you a huge $1200 Stitch Fix giveaway. That’s right – one lucky reader will scoop up $1200 in Stitch Fix credit later this month. There are so many good things to share (including a truly gorgeous Kate Spade handbag), I don’t want to keep you waiting, so let’s get to it!

Stitch Fix Luxe – What’s That?
If you read the blog often, you know that I am a long-standing Stitch Fix customer. You also know that Stitch Fix is an online styling service that matches you with a personal stylist. All it takes is a few minutes to sign up and create a FREE online style profile. You know that you can schedule a fix at any time and for only $20, your personal stylist will hand-pick five items just for you and ship them direct to your door so you can try them on in the convenience of your own home. And that $20 fee is automatically deducted from the cost of any clothes you wish to keep. You also know how easy it is to check out and that shipping and returns are free.
But do you know about Stitch Fix Luxe? Several months ago, Stitch Fix started carrying premium brands. Some of the new brands include Kate Spade, Rebecca Minkoff, Equipment, Theory, Michael Starrs, Free People, Paige … seriously so many premium labels.
When I first heard about the new premium brands available through Stitch Fix Luxe, I was intrigued. Unfortunately, we don’t have much room available in the family budget for designer clothes so I sat back and wondered about the new premium options. For this month, I decided to bite the bullet and request a luxe fix just for fun. I had absolutely no intention of purchasing anything from the fix, but I was curious enough to throw $20 at the styling fee just to see what came my way (and I was pretty sure that you would be curious as well!)
So are you ready to see what came in my Stitch Fix Luxe box?
No Limits Button Down Top
The first thing I tried on from the fix was the No Limits Button Down Top from Free People ($98). I LOVE wearing button down shirts on the weekends because they put such a polished spin on my casual attire. The No Limits Button Down Top fit great and looked nice with a partial tuck in front. It was a little baggy and a bit wrinkled, but that just provides me more room to move while juggling a baby, a household, and work! It’s very difficult to get anything accomplished in a shirt that is too confining.
Moscow Skinny Jean
Kate also sent a pair of jeans in my fix, which paired perfectly with the No Limits Button Down Top. Premium denim is always fun to try on, so I was happy to check the fit of the Moscow Skinny Jeans from DL1961 ($148).
Any pants I receive from Stitch Fix are almost always a perfect fit (I have no idea how they always manage to consistently find the perfect jeans and pants for my body) and the Moscow Skinny Jean from DL1961 was no exception. They had great stretch, stayed in place and didn’t seem as though they would sag throughout the day. This particular wash was a little dark for what I want right now (I’ve been looking for a lighter wash pair of jeans for a more casual look). There’s no denying that these were great jeans and I easily can see why people love investing in premium denim.
The rest of the look was easy to style. I layered my go-to Old Navy white tank underneath the button down top, added a silver and white Kendra Scott necklace, my silver Kate Spade watch, and polished the look off with a gray pair of Keds.

Clarise Saffiano Leather Crossbody
When I asked for a luxe fix, I had just one request. I begged my stylist to please send a Kate Spade bag my way – preferably one that was light beige or pink. Kate came through once again! I pretty much fell in love when I saw the Kate Spade Clarise Saffiano Leather Crossbody ($198) that was lovingly tucked into my Stitch Fix box.
This purse was so good in so many ways. I love the crossbody style because my hands are always full as I try to manage Dessa and her diaper bag when we are on the go. A crossbody purse is one less thing to carry in my hands! The bag itself is big enough to hold more than just a cell phone and keys, but small enough to keep me from overfilling it (a notorious habit of mine)and weighing myself down too much. And then there was the color of the bag. I adore that it wasn’t just a muted blush color. The purse actually had several shades of pink and beige that was almost like a subtle colorblock. The varying colors made the purse unique without being over the top. It was the perfect on-the-go accessory for my casual weekend outfit.
I loved the color of this particular Clarise Safficano Leather Crossbody so much, that I found the exact same one online, plus a variety of other Kate Spade bags and accessories in the same color. Click any of the images below to check them out and shop online.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well my Ballerina Pink Tieks paired with the color of the crossbody. I own several pair of Tieks and I recently sold the Ballerina Pink pair in my Poshmark store because I pretty much stopped wearing this pair once I purchased my Romantic Blush Tieks. I wore the pink Tieks one last time for these photos before shipping them off to their new owner. Now that they’re gone, it makes me a little sad because they look so perfect with the light pink purse.
If you’re curious about Tieks and want to know more about why I love mine so much, you can read a very thorough review in this blog post. I shared very honest answers all of the questions people ask about my Tieks – some of them may surprise you!
Jessica Scallop Detail Wool Sweater
The Kate Spade crossbody made me want to wear anything and everything pink, so I was thrilled to try on the Jessica Scallop Detail Wool Sweater from Michael Stars ($198) that my stylist, Kate, had included in my Stitch Fix Luxe box. This sweater was amazing. It was soft, comfortable, roomy, and had the most beautiful scallop edged along the hem and sleeves.
A sweater this gorgeous didn’t require many accessories so I kept the look clean and simple. The dark wash of the Moscow Skinny Jeans from DL1961 kept the look upscale. I also added a long, gold Kendra Scott Rayne necklace and mixed metal Kriss bangle set from Kendra Scott. Finally, I slipped on my go-to pair of Romantic Blush Tieks.
I love how the gold and silver tones complimented the rich colors of the Jessica Scallop Detail Wool Sweater and dark Moscow jeans.

The Jessica Scallop Detail Wool Sweater was also fun to dress up for date night or an upscale professional look. I just swapped out the jeans for the Jacqueline Skinny Pant that I kept from my September fix (although a pair of J Crew any day pants would also work perfectly). I also added a patent leather pair of black pumps (similar here) and a crystal statement necklace (similar here).
I’m telling you, this sweater was gorgeous and so easy to dress up for a special occasion.
I also couldn’t resist the temptation to pair the Kate Spade Clarise Saffiano Leather Crossbody with the outfit. The purse truly completed the look.

Gertrude Open Cashmere Cardigan
The fifth item included in my first-ever Stitch Fix Luxe shipment was Gertrude Open Cashmere Cardigan from Lusso Cashmere ($158). That’s right – cashmere! The only thing better than a great fitting classic cardigan is a cashmere cardigan!
I’m getting a little tired of black on black, so I decided to dress the cardigan down and brighten it up with a medium wash pair of Level 99 jeans (these are from my 33rd fix, but you can find a similar pair here) and a heather gray tank (similar here). Add a simple statement necklace (similar), a silver and gray Kendra Scott cuff bracelet, a pair of gray Keds and of course a gorgeous crossbody purse and I was good to go!

What I Kept from My Stitch Fix Luxe Shipment
When I told my stylist that I wanted to try Stitch Fix Luxe for my next fix, I didn’t intend to keep any of it. I was just curious about the clothing and the brands and I wanted to see what Kate would send. I even mentioned that I probably couldn’t afford any of it when I made the request. But I was curious and I figured many of you would be too, so I planned to just be out $20 for the styling fee (which was totally worth it if the luxe fix would satisfy my curiosity). Even though I specifically requested a Kate Spade bag, I didn’t really have any intention of keeping it – until I laid eyes on the purse and saw how beautiful the mixed shades of beige and blush looked!
If you read the blog often, you are aware that Rob and I are both very budget conscious. We follow Dave Ramsey’s financial principals, are saving for a house, and money often feels a bit tight in the Gavin household since our baby girl arrived. Despite our budget, I got lucky this month! I had received a very generous Stitch Fix gift card as a gift over the holidays and a few very old referrals that created a style profile using my link a few years ago, but just recently decided to schedule their very first fix provided some additional credit in my Stitch Fix account. I decided to keep the Kate Spade purse and only paid $23 out of pocket, thanks to the credit I had accumulated (and the wonderful people who signed up using my link so very long ago.)

How to Save 25% on Your Stitch Fix Purchase
This seems like a perfect time to mention Stitch Fix’s awesome 25% discount. Any time a customer decided to keep all five items in their fix, they automatically save 25% on the entire fix when they check out. The buy-all discount is amazing and I’ve been lucky enough to scoop up the savings during a few of my previous fixes: #23, #24, #28 and #38. (All of those were before the epic house saving started and some of them were back in the good ol’ days when I frequently earned Stitch Fix credit from my referral code.)
The buy-all discount is always fantastic, but the savings are especially incredible with a luxe fix. I’m not sure who has a disposable income high enough to afford multiple items from a Stitch Fix Luxe shipment, but if someone could afford my entire fix, the savings would be huge. All of the items in my Stitch Fix Luxe shipment added up to a total of $800. The entire fix could be purchased for $600, with a total savings of $200 thanks to the buy all discount. Crazy, right?!?
Even if you can’t afford a luxe fix, you can still rake in the savings if you purchase everything in your fix, so keep that in mind for next time.
