It’s that time again! My 46th Stitch Fix box has arrived (46 – can you believe it?) and I am so excited to share another Stitch Fix Maternity review on the blog with you today. I’m currently 21 weeks along and some of my non-maternity shirts are looking a little too snug over the growing baby bump. I was overjoyed to see several tops, a pair of pants, and even a cute purse in my fix this month. I’m also teaming up with several other bloggers to bring you a $350 Stitch Fix gift card giveaway at the end of this post. Are you ready to read all about it?

Coroa Maternity Split Neck Blouse (Return)
I wear blouses to work in my kindergarten classroom on a regular basis so I was thrilled to see that my Stitch Fix stylist, Jodi, had included a the Coroa Maternity Split Neck Blouse from Paradigma ($68) in this month’s fix. This particular blouse was soft, lightweight and perfect for layering. It was also white with a subtle neutral geometric print, which would make it perfect for the transition to spring. I loved that the maternity blouse was plenty long in front with even more length in the back for extra coverage and modesty.
Even though the blouse will be perfect for spring, it was easy to incorporate the top into a cold weather outfit. Charcoal gray maternity leggings and tall black riding boots helped to keep my feet and legs warm; while a denim jacket, silver watch and simple necklace kept the look light and airy on top so it didn’t look too bundled up.
When I saw a preview of this blouse in my Stitch Fix app, I was beyond excited and so sure that I would end up keeping it. The one problem that I didn’t anticipate was how large it would be. My stylist sent a size small, but I felt like I was swimming in fabric when I tried it on. The denim jacket certainly helped to give me my figure a little definition and shape, but I couldn’t count on always layering a jacket on top. I felt like Mandy Moore’s character in This is Us while she was pregnant with triplets when I wore the blouse by itself. It might be perfect for someone near the end of her third trimester, but I wasn’t going to be ready for that much blouse for a long time. Needless to say, I decided to return the Coroa Maternity Split Neck Blouse.

Moran Maternity Mixed Material Knit Top (Keep)
The second item I tried on from my March Stitch Fix box was the Moran Maternity Mixed Material Knit Top from Full Moon ($54) and this one gave me all the heart eyes! I love lightweight flowy tops with feminine details and my stylist, Jodi, absolutely nailed my personal style when she sent this top my way. It had everything going for it: neutral colored, slightly fitted but not at all clingy, and plenty of room for me to grow into.
This top was easy to style and fun to dress up. I pulled on the Liverpool stretch jeans that came in my first maternity fix (they have enough stretch to still fit at 20 weeks even though they aren’t maternity jeans); my silver Kate Spade watch, an inexpensive tassel necklace and some black Ghillie flats. The finished result was comfortably stylish and chic. The Moran Maternity Mixed Material Knit Top was absolutely a keeper!

Peralta Pullover Maternity Knit Top (Return)
I was so excited to see a casual knit top coming in my Stitch Fix box. Especially a knit top with an olive green stripe. (Because, let’s face it … olive is practically a neutral.) Unfortunately, the Peralta Pullover Maternity Knit Top from Page VI for Stitch Fix ($54), was a little more shirt than I anticipated. Literally.
Much like the split neck blouse, this shirt really wasn’t flattering on a body that was only half way through its pregnancy. It might look much better on me once I’m well into my third trimester, but right now, it isn’t what I need at all. Even the cut of the sleeves was too generous and the underarm area sagged from the cut of the shirt. I was so disappointed because this shirt was very soft and could have been so wonderful if it was just a bit more tailored and in a more flattering cut.
Since I felt a little like I was drowning in stripes, I needed a way to offset the loose-fitting top. I’m a firm believer that only one part of your body should feature loose-fitting clothes. Since the top was so baggy, I opted to tailor the look with my non-maternity Liverpool stretch jeans. I also added a heeled pair of brown booties to lengthen my legs. Even though the shirt was a bust, I’m pretty excited that I was able to style it in a way that made the oversized strip top much more functional. Despite the fashion win, I decided to return the Peralta Pullover Maternity Knit Top.
